With over 45,000 line items, Mitre10 is New Zealand’s favourite home for DYI Kiwis and tradies. One of their key offerings is click-and-collect, which has proven popular with customers. As an extension of the offer and to help reduce wait times at the customer service desk, Mitre10 has installed our click-and-collect lockers at their Mt Wellington, Auckland store.
The wide range of items shoppers can purchase requires a wide range of locker options. In addition to our standard door sizes, we designed and delivered a sizeable 2-door cabinet for ladders and other large, long items.
The lockers inside the vestibule can be accessed 24/7 for customer convenience. Elocker developed software that enabled the barcode to activate the lockers and open the vestibule external door to ensure security for the store and customers.
We were also faced with a truncated timeline, so we needed to organise an air freight delivery from China. This went seamlessly and helped us deliver well ahead of the revised deadline.
The lockers are operating well and providing the Mitre10 team with user data to help educate their customers and train their in-store team members.
