Splash Planet Lockers

Splash Planet is Hastings' favourite attraction for locals and Hawke's Bay visitors. Elocker approached Hastings District Council to discuss how lockers could enhance the visitor experience, increase security, add a revenue stream for HDC and free up frontline teams to interact with visitors more.
Splash Planet's old lockers were operated by $2 coins, so removing the management of this alone was a significant cost saving. The system was also tricky for pool users. Each time they wanted to enter the lockers, they needed another $2 coin.
The challenge for Elocker was installing 248 lockers into existing spaces, designing a new streamlined payment system and ensuring the visitor experience was easy.

We installed a system integrated with Splash Planet's existing POS using our RFID technology. We sourced rubber RFID bands, which were also branded. When visitors arrive at Splash Planet, they pay for a locker, are issued a band, and our system allocates them their locker. Splash Planet can also track how many lockers they have sold using our Band Allocation Tracking software.
Our lockers are positioned both inside and outside Splash Planet's changing areas.

The lockers are heavily used throughout the season. The locker designs, installed by Elocker, bring the Hastings district to life within the park and support the Hastings District Council's goal of highlighting the district's attractions to visitors and locals alike.
